The UltraNUC Pro 13 Fanless is a compact and powerful computer system that offers a high level of performance and versatility. It is built with one of Intel’s latest processors, specifically designed for the 13th generation NUCs. The system is housed in the Akasa Turing WS Pro chassis, which is 100% fanless, ensuring silent operation.

Despite its small size, the UltraNUC Pro 13 Fanless provides the same level of versatility as a full-sized computer. It is highly portable, making it convenient to carry around and use in various settings. Whether you’re streaming the latest movies or working on important presentations, this system can handle it with ease, thanks to its powerful processor.

The system features HDMI outputs that support full 4K resolution, allowing you to enjoy high-quality visuals. Additionally, it offers 7.1 digital audio output, but you will need a capable AV Receiver to fully utilise this feature.

Furthermore, the UltraNUC Pro 13 Fanless provides two Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports. These ports offer USB 4 connectivity, enabling faster data transfer speeds. They also provide the option to connect two additional DisplayPort monitors, expanding your display setup for enhanced multitasking or immersive experiences.

Extensive Connectivity

For such a small chassis, you’d expect to see some lack of connectivity or compromises due to its size. In fact the Intel NUCs have an extensive range of ports available. Take a look at the image below to see which ports are available.

Front: two USB 3.2 ports and 3.5mm audio port.

Rear: two HDMI ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB Type-C, also compatible with DisplayPort 1.4), 2.5Gb LAN port and two USB ports (one USB 3.2 and one USB 2.0).

Up to 12-core Processing Power

Intel’s Core processors are renowned for being the “go-to” CPU for virtually any personal computer. The processor in the fanless NUC is the 13th gen mobile processors that deliver leadership in performance architecture. Performance cores or “P-cores” maximise single-thread performance and responsiveness, while efficient cores or “E-cores” deliver scalable, multi-threaded performance and efficient offload of background tasks for modern multi-tasking. Intel Thread Director works seamlessly with the operation system to intelligently optimise performance, placing the right task on the right core at the right time.

The UltraNUC can be configured with a choice of the 13th gen Core i3-1315U, i5-1340P, i7-1360P. As you can see from the table below all CPUs offer different clock speeds. They also all feature “Turbo Frequency” allowing them to provide that extra performance when required.

Storage considerations

When specifying your new PC’s storage options using our system configurator below, you will be offered a choice of drives which vary by price and capacity. There are two primary types of storage. A conventional hard disk drive (HDD) offers huge storage capacity for a low price, but it won’t be especially fast and it will generate a certain amount of running noise since it contains a constantly-rotating spindle. A solid state (SSD) or a M2 drive on the other hand, offer tremendous speed and absolutely silent operation, but they cost more than an HDD for any given capacity.

So if you need a lot of storage space (for videos or large quantities of digital photos for example), then we would recommend an HDD. On the other hand, if you prefer silence and speed (especially boot-up speed), then an SSD or M2 drive would be a better choice. Of course you can have more than one drive, so you could have the best of both worlds by choosing one of each! We recommend that customers chose an SSD or M2 drive as a boot drive that contains the operating system and important programs and a conventional HDD to store other data, but remember that if you intend to have a totally silent PC you might want to forgo the HDDs all together as they will make some noise due to their moving parts.

Free hardware support and fully inclusive warranty

We offer free hardware technical support for as long as you own the machine. This support covers any hardware query or problem, including advice on maintenance and upgrades. We regret we can’t offer software support or training so we would recommend contacting the software vendor in this instance.

Our hardware warranty runs for at least two years and is “collect and return” meaning that you don’t need to worry about getting the machine back to us - we will instruct our courier to collect it from you on a day of your choosing, then after we have checked and repaired it we will send it back to you by express courier at our expense. In addition, unlike many other PC suppliers, we have an “open-case” policy which means you are free to open the machine and perform your own minor modifications or upgrades without worrying that your warranty might be affected.
