The Serenity Pro Gamer Z2 is a great choice for customers looking for elegance and quietness while still being able to provide enough FPS for the most demanding of games. The PC is built around one of the be quiet’s chassis or the Antec P101, which all offer excellent cooling at very low noise levels. Whether you opt for the larger Dark Base 900 or the smaller Silent Base 600 be assured you are purchasing a high quality gaming system that uses only the very best quiet components.

The best quiet / performance balance

Any air-cooled PC will always be a compromise between quietness (arising from careful cooling design) and performance (which produces heat). This situation affects gamers even more than most because of course, the latest and greatest processors and 3D graphics cards tend to be the ones which run the hottest and which have the loudest fans on them.

We’ve done a lot of development work in this area to bring you the Serenity Pro Gamer Z2 - a fully built high performance PC which we think offers the best of both worlds - virtually silent running (especially when the PC isn’t being used for gaming), and extraordinary gaming performance with great cooling design which gives total safety and reliability for your precious CPU and GPU.

High Quality Components

As with all of our systems, we use only the best available components, giving you confidence that your next PC will be reliable and perform as you’d expect for many years to come. The motherboard in this particular systems is key to the features the PC has. The ASUS TUF B550M motherboard features an array of USB 3.2 ports (inc USB Type-C), 2.5Gb ethernet port, a S/PDIF and onboard HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 for 4K resolution at 60Hz (assuming you are using APU graphics).

The other motherboard option is the ASUS ProArt X570 Creator. Previous X570 motherboards always used a small fan to keep them cool, which made them unsuitable for a fanless system. This revised version utilises passive heatsinks for the VRM and chipset, making perfect for our range of passive systems. The X570 is jammed with features that surpass the B550 in almost every way. There are more M.2 ports (3 in total), two LAN ports with one of them being 10Gb, integrated Thunderbolt 4, built-in Wi-Fi and eight USB 3.2 ports.

Storage considerations

When specifying your new PC’s storage options using our system configurator below, you will be offered a choice of drives which vary by price and capacity. There are two primary types of storage. A conventional hard disk drive (HDD) offers huge storage capacity for a low price, but it won’t be especially fast and it will generate a certain amount of running noise since it contains a constantly-rotating spindle. A solid state (SSD) or a M2 drive on the other hand, offer tremendous speed and absolutely silent operation, but they cost more than an HDD for any given capacity.

So if you need a lot of storage space (for videos or large quantities of digital photos for example), then we would recommend an HDD. On the other hand, if you prefer silence and speed (especially boot-up speed), then an SSD or M2 drive would be a better choice. Of course you can have more than one drive, so you could have the best of both worlds by choosing one of each! We recommend that customers chose an SSD or M2 drive as a boot drive that contains the operating system and important programs and a conventional HDD to store other data, but remember that if you intend to have a totally silent PC you might want to forgo the HDDs all together as they will make some noise due to their moving parts.

Clean Build™ Promise

The price of many pre-built PCs these days is often supported by cash kickbacks from software companies who pay hardware manufacturers to pre-install limited or trial versions of their software and then hope that the customer pays to upgrade to the full version. The downside to this approach is that the new PC comes pre-loaded with a lot of “junkware” which bloats the operating system and can cause severe performance degradation.

Here at Quiet PC we believe that customers have every right to expect the best possible performance from a brand new PC, so every system we build comes with our Clean Build™ promise. We install the operating system (if you order one), motherboard drivers, OS updates and Windows Security - that’s it. You won’t be pestered by pop-ups and nag screens and you can get on with using your new PC immediately without having to uninstall lots of junkware first. Your new machine will boot in super-quick time and will stay running quickly for many months and years to come.

Free hardware support and fully inclusive warranty

We offer free hardware technical support for as long as you own the machine. This support covers any hardware query or problem, including advice on maintenance and upgrades. We regret we can’t offer software support or training so we would recommend contacting the software vendor in this instance.

Our hardware warranty runs for at least two years and is “collect and return” meaning that you don’t need to worry about getting the machine back to us - we will instruct our courier to collect it from you on a day of your choosing, then after we have checked and repaired it we will send it back to you by express courier at our expense. In addition, unlike many other PC suppliers, we have an “open-case” policy which means you are free to open the machine and perform your own minor modifications or upgrades without worrying that your warranty might be affected.

Customer Reviews

Excellent Service

,

This is the 7th system I’ve bought from QuietPC in 9 years of dealing with them and in all that time they’ve never failed to supply a well built machine, excellently delivered.

They also provide expert and HONEST answers to pre-sales queries even when (on one occasion with myself) it actually cost them a couple of hundred pounds in a sale as they pointed out the item I was asking about wouldn’t be ideal for what I was looking to do.

I’ve dealt with several PC builders over the years and Quiet PC remains my ‘go to’ supplier if they offer the products I am looking for.

Can’t recommend highly enough!

When I required a replacement for my PC, I stumbled across Quiet PC who were mentioned in an article in an online magazine. I found their website rather pleasant. It offers a good selection of components with obvious focus on low noise levels, but without sacrificing performance, and doesn't overload the potential buyer with tons of options that are likely irrelevant. In other words, they focus on the components they know well. And that shows when you receive the PC (more in a moment). For my build, I had a few customisation requests and questions: I needed extra cables prepared for disks and a graphics card I wanted to fit in, because I didn't want to deal with cable management myself (If I had known how spacious the case is, I could have done it myself, though). Those requests were accommodated at no extra cost. Any questions I had were answered within a few hours, and during follow-up email conversation it rarely took more than an hour to receive a helpful response. Absolutely no copy&paste style emails from Quiet PC! Service and communication has been excellent throughout the ordering process (and beyond). When the PC arrived, I was positively suprised about the packaging as well as all the extra bits and pieces they ship with the computer: All manuals from individual components, all spare cables, lots and lots of screws for different purposes (put into nicely labelled bags), and even the remaining screws and brackets for the CPU cooler - including the CPU dust cover and extra thermal paste. In other words, you get all the original parts which weren't needed in the build, and then some! Before I first switched the PC on, I opened it to add all my disks and the graphics card. All the cables were prepared as I asked them to do. The cable management throughout was very neat and tidy. I have used other custom PC builders in the UK before, but none of them were even close to Quiet PC when it comes to cable management. So, do Quiet PC build quiet PCs? Absolutely, yes, and without any sacrifice on performance or temperature levels. The case fans and Noctua CPU cooler keep the i7-6700K and the system temperature in the low 30C range during idle and normal office work. I ended up replacing the case fans with Noctua fans, merely because I'm obsessed with noise levels and they are a bit quieter under load and can respond to raising temperature levels, but that doesn't take anything away from Quiet PC's choice -- The computer was already very quiet before, and the manual fan speed slider will be more than sufficient for the majority of users. (In fact you will hardly have to touch it; the idle airflow is good enough and you have to push the PC very hard to get temperatures beyond 55C for the CPU and low 40s for the system) I apologise for getting carried away with this review! :-) The bottom line is: brilliant service, including the option to have custom changes done; excellent build quality, packaging and spare parts; quick delivery (4 days in my case, instead of up to 7 as advertised). You can't go wrong with these guys!
