AcoustiFan Anti-vibration Soft Silicone Fan Gaskets

These ultra-soft fan gaskets are designed to reduce the vibration from cooling fans, and maintain a seal between the case side and the fan housing. Each retail pack contains an anti-vibration fan gasket with 4 silicone washers and screws.

We also stock these gaskets in packs of 32, please see: 32 Fan Gaskets OEM packs

Features

  1. Help to absorb the fan vibration
  2. Help to ‘seal’ the small gap between the fan and the casing/enclosure wall
  3. Compatible with virtually all case cooling fans
  4. Supplied with screws and silicone washers
  5. Quick and very easy to fit

These super-soft silicone fan gaskets are designed to dramatically reduce the vibration from any PC or server case cooling fans. The 60 and 70mm gaskets are 1.5mm thick, and the larger sizes are 2.5mm thick. Included with each gasket are silicone washers and anti-vibration screws. These screws feature a thread design which prevents the shank touching the fan and vibrations being transmitted and amplified through to the chassis.

These gaskets are suitable for the vast majority of case designs and fan combinations, as they fit standard fan mounting holes. Slightly lengthened (12mm thread) fan mounting screws are supplied with the fan gaskets and washers. These gaskets can be used with standard PC cooling fans, and not just with AcoustiFan™ quiet case fans. Note: Do not use these gaskets in very high temperature locations inside a PC/Server such as attached to CPU or GPU heat sinks!

Fitting instructions

  1. Fit the fan gasket onto the outside of the fan housing (it will stay on the fan)
  2. Position the fan and gasket together against the inside of the case, so that the four mounting holes in the fan and gasket line up to the mounting holes in the case side
  3. Locate the four silicone washers and screws, and fit the washers against the case side, each secured by a screw
  4. Tighten the screws enough to very slightly compress the silicone rubber. Do not overtighten.

Vibes

,

This item doesn’t do anything very complex in life, but it was easy to install and probably helps calm the case’s tendency to rattle. So, worth buying.

Very easy to install

,

Much easier to install than those rubber golf tee mounts. I recommend these are always used with fans to avoid case vibrations. They are a cheap add on and worthwhile as far as I can tell.

Fiddly

,

I fitted one of these to each of my new fans, they are fiddly to fit, they are thinner than they look, but when in place, seem to work well, I also used silicon mounts instead of metal screws, works well.

stop the judder

,

These work - they reduce the vibration on the fan through the chassis.

Does the job well.

,

Works well. You may need to make the holes in the case slightly bigger - don’t forget the screws shouldn’t touch the sides of the holes. And don’t overtighten!

“Excellent product and support”

“Purchased a “Quiet PC Serenity 8 Office” recently, and I have been delighted with it, and the pre-sales technical help I had. Buying the right combination of components can be daunting even for someone who enjoys learning about new technology. Add in the desire for both computing power and quietness, and it becomes quite tricky. These people know what they are talking about. In pre-sale I asked to check if stock coolers were sufficient or if I needed something more. They could have come back with a massive “up sell” but they didn’t. They just reassured me that the choice of components, even with the migration of additional stuff I intended to add on delivery would have sufficient cooling. They also offered to put in place the cabling I needed for the additional components, and passed the message on, and it was done. All very helpful, and now I’m enjoying a reliable desktop PC.”
